Matthew Sommers
With over 15 years of experience in banking and finance, Matt has developed deep expertise in home and commercial lending. His career spans roles at Westpac, Heartland Bank, and Macquarie Bank in Australia, where he worked with both individuals and businesses. His experience has shown him how to create effective financial solutions that meet each client's unique needs.
Upon returning to New Zealand with his young family, Matt settled in Auckland’s Hibiscus Coast. Here, he founded Optimise Finance with the clear goal of supporting Kiwis and fostering the growth of local businesses. Matt believes New Zealand has immense potential and is excited to provide financial solutions that help people and companies achieve meaningful and long-term success.
In addition to running Optimise Finance, Matt contributes his expertise to Chaperon, a specialist firm that supports businesses in negotiating and improving their banking relationships. His dual roles allow him to stay closely connected to both personal and business finance, offering a well-rounded perspective to his clients.
Matt is proud to serve on the Board of Kaitiaki Kindergartens, an organisation that supports 14 kindergarten and early childhood education centres across North and West Auckland.

Natassja Hollows
Natassja Hollows is the General Manager of Optimise Finance and has over 15 years’ experience across law and business operations.
Natassja previously had a career as a family and divorce lawyer in Australia, guiding clients through complex property settlements and financial transitions. She understands the importance of helping clients feel supported and empowered during life’s big decisions.
In the years that followed, Natassja moved into senior operational roles in the professional services sector, where she led functions like strategy, HR, marketing, compliance, and business development. She also founded and ran her own law firm, giving her firsthand experience in growing and managing a client-centric business from the ground up.
At Optimise Finance, Natassja plays a key role in shaping our systems, providing support and ensuring we consistently deliver outstanding results for clients.
Natassja is passionate about helping clients feel more confident in their financial decisions.
Matt and Natassja have two young boys and enjoy spending time together as a family, whether at the beach or out making the most of everything the beautiful Hibiscus Coast has to offer.
